Every year, September-October sees some of the biggest artists in the industry releasing their albums ahead of the holiday season. I don’t get it, but ok. I mean its not like people go like “..hey Timmy, I bought you this record for Xmas” not anymore Timmy. Don’t people have iTunes and Zunes and other stuff? Oh well, what do I know.
What follows is my list of some of the better albums coming out soonish or have just recently come out.
Solange – Losing you
Holyshit I love this song. I had no idea Beyonce’s sister was so .. many beautiful things put together, last of all an artist. This song has been on replay for a while now, and the video is awesome too.
Kanye West – To The World ft. R. Kelly
You probably heard of this song, many, many times already. But its new, its mainstream and its pretty catchy. So here you go.
deadmau5 – There Might be Coffee
OK, I get it. It’s deadmau5. This is one of the better tracks in the album, I think.
Lupe Fiasco & Guy Sebastian – Battle Scars
This is the future of mainstream music, and I really hate it. Its a good song. Its Lupe. But its made for 13 year olds. I dont get it, too much manufacturing. Its actually more manufactured than the Kanye and R. Kelly song.
Mumford & Sons – Babel
Inzain ow ba3dain? I was waiting for this album I love their stuff and once I heard it, I don’t think i could have been more disappointed. Its just more religious bullshit squeezed between love lyrics, but this time its sans the soul and talent.
No Doubt – Stand And Deliver
This is really sad. The only good song on the album was the Adam and the Ants cover song. The album is just really bad. It got the Katy Perry treatment. Every. Song. I know they are trying to sell and this is a business after all they are not doing this for my well being. But a little dignity in making the songs could have been appreciated.
Gypsy & The Cat – Bloom
Not exactly mainstream, you probably wont hear about them (unless you follow my posts) the two songs they have released so far from their album are nothing short of genius. I cant wait for their album this Friday.
Matt & Kim – I Said
I am not sure their new album has anything to look forward to, its still some of the good old stuff. Which is great.
